From May 29 to May 31, 2017, the heads of close to 50 science and engineering funding agencies from around the world and over 100 delegates met to share information and best practices to support high-quality collaboration among funding agencies worldwide.
Annual Meetings of the Global Research Council
The fifth Annual Meeting of the Global Research Council was held from 25-27 May 2016 in New Delhi, India. The meeting was jointly hosted by Research Councils UK (RCUK) and the Indian Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).
The 4th Annual Global Meeting of the Global Research Council (GRC) was held on May 26-28 2015 in Tokyo, Japan. The meeting was hosted jointly by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa.
The 3rd Annual Global Meeting of the Global Research Council (GRC) took place on May 26-28 2014 in Beijing, China. The meeting was hosted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
On 29 May 2013, the 2nd Annual Global Meeting of the Global Research Council (GRC) in Berlin has ended. Over three days, the heads of about 70 science and research councils from around the world as well as high-ranking guests from science and research, science administration and research policy attended the meeting.
The Global Summit on Merit Review was hosted by the U.S. National Science Foundation from May 13-15, 2012. Almost 50 Heads of Research Councils, primarily representing the G-20 and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development countries, attended the event.
